PUT THE BOAHT IN THE LAYEK

back in april i bought a boat thanks to a chance meeting with a seemingly crazy lady. i was picking up a free truck bedliner from a dude a few blocks down the road so i could chop it up and use it for ski guides on my snowmobile ramp when a slurring lady that was walking her dog approached me and said "i got a boat that would look good on that ladder rack". long story short: she broke up with her boyfriend, boyfriend still had boat, she'd be damned if he got to keep the boat, she called me about once every 2 hours for two days to talk about the boat, she talked herself down about 35% from her original asking price, i got an old boat.

1965 Miro Craft powered by a 1970 Johnson 4HP engine. the lady turned out to be much less crazy than first thought. she even threw in a few trout poles with the boat and was nice enough to help iron things out at the DOL when i finally got around to transferring the title.

i'm excited to use the boat to get to some better fishing spots and to try some crabbing in Puget Sound! crabbing season in the sound opens tomorrow, so t-doh and i got the boat wet for the first time today. the engine isn't that fast and it died unexpectedly twice, but fired right back up. we trolled from fremont brigde to the ballard bridge. there are some neat boats on that stretch.

the lack of wakeboarding possibility appeals to me.
