MT. LICHTENSTEIN

this 'river' proved tough to cross times2.

squeezed one more day out of the shred season last saturday. me, zeekers, special lady, and birthday boy went to a special zone that zeekers and frankles found splitboarding earlier this season. a 'glorious natural halfpipe with stump jibs and hits galore' we were promised by tour guide zeekers. zeekers just got done riding a bike from san diego to austin which i'm told is pretty far to ride a bike. needless to say, he can hike a little faster than the rest of us. the planning of this trip was a mess, but we managed to start hiking out around noon. the weather changed every 5 to 10 minutes but was generally good. we'd have sun, high clouds, graupel (google it if ya don't know), and mixes of those. we were near stevens pass, where about a foot of new snow fell earlier in the week. today that new snow was pretty thick, wet, and slushy, which made for some good exercise while hiking. blah, pics, pics, pics...
i like this sign!

at one point today i hugged a tree. yup, i gave it a full-on hippy tree hug. only problem is my hug done KILT that tree. the forest found out and tried to kill the birthday boy.

UFF-DA!
